For stories, novel excerpts, and poetry, profanity is acceptable if necessary for your work. However, refrain from using profanity when critiquing others and avoid conflict. Be diplomatic and friendly, even if you disagree with a piece or creator. Remember the saying: If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all.
